The GEJI-GUMI still think they are fighting the Yamori-gumi, so they declare a war for the bosshood of CHOFU and promise to keep going until one side breaks. Soujun has no idea what they are talking about and hits them anyway. The Carabiner arrive, recognise an illegal border-crosser and a pack of CHOFU yakuza, decide they want no part of either, and report that TW18 is on the way. In Fuser form Soujun is simply better: he catches thrown weapons out of the air, calls them slow, and sends them back through the men who threw them. Gejirow answers with the flamethrower on his arm, and his own men enjoy being set on fire. That taste for pain is the problem. One of them, wrapped head to foot in chains, cannot be put down by anything physical at all, and Ojiki warns that chasing him will only burn the last of Soujun’s fuel. So they gamble instead. The weapon is Utaki with a megaphone, and what she says to the GEJI-GUMI is bleeped out panel by panel — and it works, dropping the unbreakable man and several others with him. Not all of them are built that way, though, and the ones who are not turn on Utaki. Soujun clears them out, unimpressed by TOKYO yakuza, then lifts a two-tonne torture horse with the man riding it still attached. It is also the moment his sight starts to blur. Chains close around him, and Gejirow, back on his feet, decides a Fuser is too valuable to kill.
