Episode 9

Episode 9: “FUSER” Chained and cornered, Soujun is ordered by the Geji-gumi head Gezirow to sever his own leg — and worse, his fused body has stalled, overheated from the two-ton weight he hauled. As Utaki shields him and the gang closes in, Soujun looks inward: a memory of his mother’s words that the real risk is taking none, Ojiki’s advice to face his own body, and his old days restarting a dead pizza-delivery engine on sheer guts. The key to rebooting is his own catchphrase — durrun. Roaring back into Fuser mode, Soujun turns the gang’s pain-proof enforcer into a flail and scatters the Geji-gumi across the moonlit night.

DURRUN Episode 9, page 10: a flashback to Soujun as a Tsumiki Pizza delivery rider, pleading with his stalled moped on a steep hill because someone is waiting for the order
DURRUN Episode 9, page 11: young Soujun restarts the dead engine through sheer willpower, while in the present the Geji-gumi seethe that a yakuza's pride is everything
DURRUN Episode 9, page 12: Soujun reignites his heart engine with his durrun catchphrase, just as he once revived the stalled pizza bike
DURRUN Episode 9, page 13: Soujun grasps that his body overheated from lifting the two-ton horse and that his durrun catchphrase is the key to restarting it, refusing the gang's demand
DURRUN Episode 9, page 14: Soujun snaps fully back into Fuser mode with his heart engine roaring as the wary Geji-gumi see his menace return
